Raw - 01

RAW 01 is a hand-woven Moroccan rug that breaks the traditional geometric mold with a spontaneous, abstract composition.

The piece contrasts a thick, unbleached natural ivory wool base with heavy, asymmetrical blocks of pigment. A dominant, textured purple vertical band divides the canvas, anchored by a substantial earthy brown shape at the upper right. Grounding the lower section are contrasting accent patches of ochre yellow and a brief stroke of sky blue. The rug is finished with traditional, tightly braided blue and white fringes at one end.

Woven by artisans in the Atlas Mountains, the high pile construction provides a dense, tactile surface.
