Collection: Berber Rugs

Berber rugs are handwoven Moroccan wool rugs, made for generations by Berber artisans in the Atlas Mountains. This collection brings together all ROOG rugs in one place: every piece is woven by hand from natural wool and is one of a kind.

Here you will find both of our limited series. The Raw Heritage Collection champions primal geometry, asymmetric lines and coarse, tactile texture. The Mirage Collection combines bold color and spontaneous patterns with soft, natural wool.

Because each rug is woven by hand, slight variations in size, pattern and color are part of its character. Read how to care for a hand-woven wool rug, or see the rugs in person at our Warsaw showroom.

Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

Are your rugs really handwoven?

Yes. Every rug is hand-woven by Berber artisans in Morocco from natural wool. Read how to tell a handwoven Berber rug from a machine-made imitation.

Is every rug one of a kind?

Yes. Our rugs come from limited collections and every piece is unique and unrepeatable, so small differences in size, pattern and colour are part of its character.

Where do the rugs come from?

They are woven in Morocco, and we bring them together from different regions, from different families and cooperatives. Read our story.

What is the difference between the Raw Heritage and Mirage collections?

Raw Heritage is our second limited release, focused on primal geometric motifs, asymmetric lines and the coarse, tactile beauty of traditional weaving. The Mirage Collection is our first limited series, combining bold colours and spontaneous patterns with soft natural wool.

How do I care for a wool rug?

Our care guide explains how to keep a handwoven wool rug in good condition.

Can I see a rug before I buy?

Yes. You can see our rugs in person by prior appointment at the Le Pukka concept store in Warsaw, and we can bring a specific model you are interested in. Details are on our Warsaw showroom page.

Can I order a rug to my own design?

Yes. With Create your own pattern you share your idea, receive a quote, and our artisans weave the rug for you.
